My opinion is that they will do nothing that will disadvantage completely new players. GW2 will have to attract substantial sales to sustain the "free to play" model. If a carryover from GW1 gives players an enduring advantage over completely new players, the new players will feel like 2nd class and probably drop out. This will inevitably impact on the player base and sales.

Personally, I've no problem with some bling/aura/weapon skins etc. being carried over. I'm not in favour of anything that makes the game imba between new players and GW1 players

I don't know where everyone got the idea that you have to "max" your HoM to get the "reward" in GW2. When has ArenaNet ever had such hard-to-get requirements in this game?

It seems there are two ways to make the 'ray of light' appear.

Either you fill all spaces:
20 miniatures, 5 heroes, 5 achievement statues, 5 armors, 11 weapons.
OR you get God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals.

I filled the HoM before getting god, and I got the ray of light as if I had 30 titles.

Supposedly, when the ray of light comes from who knows where to the face of the statue, your HoM is full.

It won't, don't worry. Been stated multiple times by Anet.

I didn't get the ray when i filled the HoM. But, I did an account wide fill and not a single character fill.

I don't think the HoM is full when you get the ray of light.
Anet said in the past that the commander title and the codex title will have the same reward, which leads me to believe that at least the pvp titles will have individual rewards.
Its no secret pvp titles take more time to get than pve, so I think all pvp titles + ray of light = full.

My friend and I tested this out months ago. He had 23 titles and his HoM was not full, where as my HoM was full but I only had 19 titles and the appearance of the HoM was exactly the same. If you fill your HoM it will make it look as if you are 1 rank higher in the KoaBD Title Track than you really are. No one knows if that part of it has anything to do with GW2, but here is my hope: There is a ramp that goes behind the main floating statue. I think there may be an Asura gate up that ramp and that is where we enter from in GW2.

filling HoM will be easy (i have yet to do it). just complete all campaigns and sorrows furnace and get the protector titles, get armour for heroes and get 5 sets of elite armour even though you'll use 3/4 at most then dedicate all your accounts minis and buy more minis. and finally buy destroyer weapons you don't really like the look of and put them in your HoM even though your character is a war and probably wont use staves much.

it's easy, just quite wasteful.
i hope we just get something on the achievements each char has, some people want different titles on different chars and don't want to go through it all again on another char.

The HoM is account-wide. Speak with the historian NPC in the HoM if you want to change your view to see a composite of all the additions by all characters on your account.

that is because the HoM Light appears at 25 titles, not 30 OR it will appear at 20 Titles and a Full Hall.
